So the basic pattern is taken from my winter is comming beanie. I just tweaked the pattern and instead of puff stitch i used a chevron stich from http://www.dreamalittlebigger.com/post/v-double-crochet-stitch.html

And made it a little more slouchier than the previous one.Enjoy👍

<![CDATA[Crochet bolero jacket]]>Sun, 22 Feb 2015 20:52:06 GMThttp://stealthestyle.weebly.com/steal-the-style/crochet-bolero-jacket

So we all have that full sleeve tee in our closet that is too plain too wear or is just a lil too much to bear with the hopeless weather. So i picked out this taunting tee(well cause i dont even remember the last time i wore it!!!) and made a cute bolero jacket out off it.

Behold the tee before me ripping it apart. So i am sorry but i cant provide a full description of my action plan as i made it before my blog😓😓. So u need to noe how to work a sewing machine, if not it'll take u a really long time. Quite a bargain but totally worth it trust me.

All i did was cut through the center of the top nd trimmed the sleves and neck as per my requirnments and used blanket stitch to prep for crochet action!!

Then i just used single crochet all around and added two dc shell layers through the center opening.

Voila! Crochet bolero jacket all done☺️

<![CDATA[Winter is coming BEANIE]]>Sun, 22 Feb 2015 20:24:20 GMThttp://stealthestyle.weebly.com/steal-the-style/winter-is-coming-beanie

So i saw this intersting idea on pintrest and since winter is actually coming i tried it out. I tweaked the patern a little and made it less slouchy. Credits to http://www.hopefulhoney.com/2012/02/beginners-luck.html?m=1

So i made a long chain across the lenght i wanted and double crocheted across the chains with a total of 4 rows of DC

Then the next step was to add do puff stiches across the band. I made a total of 14 rows. If u want it to be more slouchy just add a few more rows.

Chck out a tutorial for puff stitches @ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UlV9oCyG2T4

Then i jus skiped a few stitches in between in some of the rows

The next step was to reverse it and gather the ends which i did by sewing a runing stitch through the chains .

Then just gather and knot it up.

Enjoy👍👍

<![CDATA[Amigurumi Owl]]>Sun, 22 Feb 2015 20:03:37 GMThttp://stealthestyle.weebly.com/steal-the-style/amigurumi-owl

So i tried my hand at amigurumi for the first time and it turned out better than expected. So i saw a few tutorials on pintrest and tweaked the pattern to make it a bigger vesrion of the ones i seen out there. For the body pattern check out http://www.craftpassion.com/2013/10/owl-amigurumi-mr-murasaki.html/2

I used DC instead of SC to make it bigger and started with a circle of 10DC's instead of 6SC's as per the pattern and continued DC's in multiples of 10. It turned out to be 7-8 inches tall and 4-5 inches wide .

<![CDATA[Scrappy-scarf]]>Wed, 10 Sep 2014 21:44:19 GMThttp://stealthestyle.weebly.com/steal-the-style/scrappy-scarf
Well, my scrappy scarf is made from well, scarps. Basic crochet knowledge required. So we all have some cute fabrics lying around which is just to little. So i started out with some floral fabric which was too short for a scarf and some basic materials. I just winged most of it but its completely upto you, yarn weight hook size, etc..

First things first, blanket stitch the ends you want to lengthen. There are many types but the basic stitch should suffice(look it up if you don't know it or have forgotten). Once your done it should look something like this.

Next, a basic chains across the blanket stitch.

Once your done. Take a look

Which looks pretty good all by itself, project for another day. Today is all about adding length. Next all i did was crochet six rows of double crochet(DC). The length is however as per your requirements.

Picture

Next adding a border with the help of the following chart

Finally done!!! Then just slip stitch across if u want and some finishing touches and Voila!!! Scrappy-scarf it is😋
